Hurricane Hanna Impacts Ontario
It may be hard to believe, but Hurricane Hanna will make landfall along the Texas/Mexico border in the Gulf of Mexico and it’ll impact the weather in Ontario this weekend.
A look at the moisture map below will show that the hurricane will suck moisture from the Gulf, send it up into the American Midwest and dump it into the Great Lakes region.
This moisture flow started this morning. The weather station here at ShieldsWeather on St. Joseph Island shows that just before sunrise on Saturday the dewpoint (moisture) began to quickly climb.
The end result will be very hot and sticky conditions on Saturday for Northeastern Ontario and then scattered rain and storms Sunday into Monday. So when you are running for air conditions or jumping in a lake this weekend to escape the muggy conditions – just think that all this is because of a Hurricane way down near Mexico.
Isn’t weather amazing!?
