Severe Storms Nearing Sault Ste. Marie, ON

A line of storms is now advancing towards the Sault Ste. Marie region. Most locations will see the rain start in the next 60-90 minutes. The strongest storms appear to be south over the northern part of lower Michigan where there is a bowing segment on the radar – indicating the risk of damaging winds. This area also contains the most intense lightning. The area at most risk of these strongest storms is St. Joseph Island, the North Channel and Manitoulin Island.
